"The ramp rockers hit the stage for the final ramp ..."
A stellar evening of lights, music, flashes, and cheers from the crowd filled the CCC Auditorium last October 14, 2011. The event entitled "Poramang Sweet 2.0 -- Where Music Meets Fashion", once again shook the catwalk when the ramp rockers hit the stage for the final ramp. It was an acoustic night which featured a homegrown talent Jacq Perez and her friend Jackie Chavez, and DJ Megan of YES FM takes the center stage as an outstanding host.
It was not just your typical fashion show, as it unleashed the inner "model" of the students. The fashion show also showcased the beautiful creations of our local designers.
The show started at around 5:00pm and ended at around 8:00pm. Upon waiting, the organizers played a power-point presentation of the making of the pormang sweet, photos of the models were also included at the presentation. After a short while, the moment that we're all been waiting for had finally come.

Glamorous dresses, sparkling accessories, stilletos, sky-scraper heels and beautiful faces pick up the heat on the runway, anchored onto classic, nature-inspired pieces that provide just the right touch of rough 'n tumble to the mix.

Wild things sneak onto the catwalk , as the models rendered the sensual yet glamorous neutrals and textures that mix tribal chic with luxe psychedelia. Sparkling couture wowed the audience ia the first set of models evaded the catwalk, while Catherine Z. Amalia, a Second year BSED student serenade the audience with her amusing voice singing three hit songs of today.

Partlets, roselettes, ripples, ribbons and wings captured the audience's rapport as the second set of models came to the center of attraction.
Jacq Perez, a CCC alumna makes the night more lovelier by singing songs that makes the audience go gaga. But, that doesn't end there, a captivating performance by Jackie Chavez was the next attraction of the show.

Driven, earnest, and ready to get down to the details was the next fashion feature of the show. Plucking creative ideas out of the air may seem like second nature for the designers, and in some ways it is; like most success stories their break came with a serendipitous twist.

Over all the show was a total blast! Indeed it was the last Pormang Sweet and we'll have to wait till 2013 to witness another sure-fire fashion show, but this event will leave us with a valuable lesson, that style is defined by what someone wears, how someone looks, talks, acts, and carries himself. It's not about the clothes; it's the attitude and character that comes with it.
So ... 'til the next ramp! Ciao fashionistas!
